Seeds in your naan, oil in your morning routine: how to use both.

By Hammad Tariq · 6 November 2026 · 2 min read

Seeds

Kalonji seeds are a kitchen spice: sprinkled on naan, in achaar and in tadka. Seven seeds with honey in the morning is a traditional habit in many homes.

Oil

Cold-pressed oil concentrates the seed's natural oils, and is easier to take in small daily amounts or apply to hair and skin.

Which to choose

  • For cooking: seeds
  • For a daily routine: oil with honey
  • For hair: oil, mixed with a carrier oil
